Não é exactamente nem um Lotus nem um novo Lotus. Jenson Button, juntamente com o designer de carros exóticos Mark Stubbs, com o advogado Roger Behle e com Ant Anstead, decidiram recuperar a antiga companhia de carrocerias especiais Harold Radford e começaram exactamente por recriar o Lotus 62 com uma carroceria aparentemente igual. Porém, trata-se de um super-carro de estrada tecnicamente actual que vai ser produzido em ... 62 unidades! Ant Anstead, conhecido petrolhead participante na última série do programa televisivo Wheller Dealers, tem feito as honras da apresentação e não por acaso. Muito mais do que aquilo que nos mostra nesse programa de televisão, Ant Anstead é um designer de automóveis e um construtor de carros exclusivos e também já reconstruiu antigos automóveis de competição. Para quem alguma vez sonhou em pilotar um Lotus 62 como o que Ernesto Neves e Valdemar Teixeira correram em Portugal e em Angola, terá agora essa possibilidade um pouco mais realizável. |
